How can I stop imessage being forwarded from my iphone to my ipad even though I already turned "text message forwarding" off?

 

I have an iphone 4S iOS 8.3 and the ipad mini 2 iOS 8.3

    If it is a regular message, not an SMS, you can't. It will download to any device or computer with Messages.

    Hi,

     

    If this is iMessages then the iPad will either have to use a different Apple ID so it is in no way linked to the current sync set up or not be using the Messages app at all.

     

    Both devices will have options to select which iPhone Number or Apple ID iMessages can be received.

    In reality though, these have little effect as the "Sync" sends it to the other ID or number.
