mu h like the last SEVERAL - I notice I never really have Absolutr control over any settings anywhere & it's impossible to achieve this goal in my opinion. Therefore I've started here... Just throwing out anything I feel may be a concern &/or related.


My question IS: who accepted the root certificate on my behalf? y can't I in-accept it? And what is it allowing?

Trust Store is a security verification setting between the device and the iTunes/Apps Store and other services including certificates. This does not - from a user perspective - directly impact you decisions to trust other certificates. The number you are seeing is the version number. You cannot change it, nor is there any reason to.


Not sure what it is you want control over, but yes, Apples iOS is part of a closed eco-system. What you can modify is limited. It is an important part of what makes iOS far more secure than other mobile Operating system and devices.
