Q: Can Compressor 4 do mixing of a separate video file and audio file into one ?

I've got one video file as an input,  and a completely separate audio file as another input.

I want to mix these together into one MP4 file in Compressor 4.

Can I take two inputs and mix them?

What are the formats of these files?

Combining audio and video ("muxing") is not something that Compressor does,

In some cases this can be done  in MPEG Streamclip.

Depending on what you are working with, it's probably easiest to use an editor like FCP.

I put it in FCP (X) and then added the Compressor as a share setting.

Then I simply sent it to Compressor from FCP, and it did mux it for me.

    Thanks!
