MacBook Pro to old

I have a mid-2010 MacBook Pro how can I connect it to my apple tv someone told me that my MacBook Pro is to old that is why I can't find airplay on my MacBook Pro when Apple TV is connected If I can connect how do I get my MacBook Pro connected to my AppleTV thanks

Hey bobbyfrombrea,

Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, you want to use Airplay to display something from the Mac to the Apple TV. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

Use AirPlay to see your Mac screen on an HDTV - Apple Support

Minimum requirements if your Mac and Apple TV are on the same network:

Apple TV (2nd generation or later) with the latest Apple TV software

Any of these Mac computers with OS X Mountain Lion v10.8 or later:
MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or later)
