    Howdy Blingblingtx,

It sounds like your iTunes application on your PC is quitting unexpectedly on you for some reason. I recommend you do the troubleshooting for iTunes in the following article:

Fix unexpected quits or launch issues in iTunes for Windows

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I went through the suggested steps, and I do not have a problem until I turn on cloud, and it attempts to analyze.  It gets about 30% through and then has the error.  If cloud is unchecked in preferences, then the program has no problems.  I pay to have my devices update if I make a change to one of them, and it is really frustrating that I am paying for something that doesn't work.

I also have gone through and uninstalled EVERY apple component and reinstalled everything. just at a loss as how to make it work on this version, when the last version didn't have a problem.

Running windows7 with 4gen I7 with 16 gig of ram, plenty for this program to run correctly.  I have turned off every other program (including my antivirus) and stopped non essential services and have the same issue.

Thanks for the update! Next since we can safely assume the program itself isn't the issue here since you've done a fresh reinstall in what sounds like the proper manner, I think you should recreate the iTunes library to determine if there is an issue with the library itself.

iTunes: How to re-create your iTunes library and playlists

I would highly recommend you use the following article to backup your library first.

Back up your iTunes library by copying it to an external drive

My library is on an external server.  I just completely deleted the entire library and every file associated with iTunes and set it up like a brand new user.  After setting the library back up and importing my playlists, I checked the cloud, and the genius started.  I really don't want the genius, but I cant seem to find where to have the cloud without having the genius, which is what I think is causing the issue.  I didn't do this on the previous version of iTunes.

Just to test, I am going to create a new user acct on my system and set it all up there and see if it does the same thing.

Ok so, after deleting the library and trying to set it up again, it was even worse because of the cloud.  This is after the new update btw, it tries to bring music down from the clould and does the same thing.  Stops working and closes.  So I deleted the library again and told it NOT to bring it in from the clould and it did it anyway.  so I deleted it again, uninstalled EVERYTHING and started from scratch.  but, my ID had everything on the clould and it still tried to bring it down.  and again caused an error and stopped working.  Obviously there is a problem somewhere in the clould that is causing the problem, but as far as I can tell, there is no way (i hope im wrong) to delete everything from the clould and start over.

Oh, and trying on a new user account did the same thing.  the problem is in the cloud.

How can I Delete All existing cloud music and redo it?

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.

The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.

Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

If you have a 64-bit system and continue to see this issue with the iTunes6464setup try the for older video cards version.

I suggest that the first time you launch iTunes post reinstall you hold down shift immediately after you click the icon to run it and keep holding until asked to choose or create a library. Click choose and make yourself a fresh empty iTunes Test library. When you're happy the crashing issue is resolved you could try swapping back to your original. You may find this user tip useful for reclaiming your pre-update library before you tried wiping and reloading. Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash
