I can not update to Chrome/ Firefox??? Keep getting yellow bar saying Safai 5 no longer supported....here are my stats for the mac;

The highest Mac OS X you can use is Snow Leopard, 10.6.8 so you cannot go to the Safari versions from 6 upwards that are part of Mountain Lion and above.

Thankyou! So there is nothing at all I can to do and have also done every type of update possible including purchasing/ loading Snowleopard, which did help but on some pages it has that yellow bar that won't go away (at one point I tried switching and the bar left for a few day then returned).
No, the processor limits you to 10.6.8 and Safari that comes with that Mac OS X version.
But, for many Chrome and FireFox are a help.
