Q: AppleCare Protection Plan

Bought my computer on 2014 July 10th, trying to match the AppleCare plan I bought online few days ago but won't work.. Any idea ? When I fill in the informations asked, it says my computer was bought over a year ago, but I bought the Protection Plan whitin the delay so shouldn't be a problem... ?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013), OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)

It doesn't matter when you bought the Applecare - you need to register it for your machine within the first year of purchase or within 364 days (no later than July 9 this year). But, it is not a good idea to cut it that close - doing it a couple of weeks before the warranty expires is recommended.

Did you register your purchase online or did you buy the computer directly from Apple (then it would be automatically registered)? If you did not, then you would need to prove to Apple when you purchased it - and if it was on July 10, you don't have any time left.

Unfortunately, I believe the person was referring to the day the Applecare would become effective (rather than the original one year warranty). For instance: I recently purchased a new iMac and it came with 90 days of phone support - I purchased Applecare within 2 weeks and, at that point, it took over and provides better coverage than the "plain" original warranty. But, unless Apple suddenly changed their policies, the only thing that matters is when you purchased your machine. And, you need to register the Applecare within 364 days at the latest. So, if you bought your machine on July 10, 2014, the one year warranty would end July 9 2015; if you had purchased Applecare in time, it would end July 9, 2017 (3 years from the date of purchase of your computer, not the Applecare). And yes, call them in the morning - that is an excellent suggestion. Since you're only off by a couple of days, they may make an exception.
