Q: my mail application is not working after updating to 8.4 on my 5c

After updating to 8.4 on my 5c, the mail application just will not open. When it finally does it appears with just a white screen and nothing else apart from the new msg option on the right below corner. I can hear the notifications for the new emails coming in but I can't read them since this is not working!

iPhone 5c, iOS 8.4
