While trying to reinstall OS X Mountain Lion, the error "could not write installation information to disk contact applecare"

I own a MacBook and yesterday i tried to reinstall OS on my system.

For that I first erased all my data and then chose the option to reinstall OS X from OS utilities.

It started to download the content and then suddenly stopped and went back to OS utilities. I now tried to reinstall OS X again and got the error

"could not write installation information to disk contact applecare" And I am now unable to move forward with the installation.

Can anyone please help ?

Try erasing the disk again and make sure the format is Mac OS Extended (Journaled) with option GUID.

I had that exact thing happen to me. I erased the drive and reinstalled the software many times, only to return to the macOS Utilities screen or an error message saying "could not copy installation information". After a 2 week battle, I finally reset the MVRAM and the machine magically booted up!

Yes, many times now. Keeps going back to the macOS Utilities screen.

Have you tried repairing the disk and running repair permissions?
