Q: I tried to repair my Photos Library (250GB), but it seems to make it worst. How can I rebuild my library afresh while keeping my Faces database?
I tried to repair my Photos Library (250GB), but I lost my recently adjusted time stamp on my old photos, and some album started reappearing which were deleted few months back.
I was thinking to start afresh by first exporting the photos, then create a new Photos Library to reimport. But the issue with this method is that it will not transfer the Face information. How can I rebuild my library afresh while keeping my Faces database?
MacBook Pro (15-inch Early 2011), OS X Yosemite (10.10.4), null

Possibly the library's database was damaged when you rebuild the first time and that's why the date adjustments were lost.
Now that you've repaired it once, re-adjust the dates and then repair again according to this Apple document, Repair You Library,
and check to see if the adjustments stick.
That is the only known way to do any first aid on a Photos Library.
