Won't play music

My iPod nano 7th Gen will not play music. Everything else works fine, I can view the clock, look at pictures. I cannot play music. If I start playing a song it acts like it's playing but no sound comes out the headphones I've adjusted the volume. The battery is charged if you connect to the computer it shows up fine.
