Q: Logic Pro X: missing plug-in.. error or bug?
In logic pro x 10.1.1 i can only add a limited number of software instrument tracks: 2 or 3.
after that in the plug in button appears an orange circle with an exclamation mark. Hoovering over the button shows the text "missing plug-in:plug-in-name". However the same plug-in can be loaded on other software instrument tracks without any trouble.
I just recently discovered the problem, in the past i could load software plug ins without problems. I have an Imac i7 3,5, 16 Gb ram. Although i recently migrated the software (my whole system) from an MBP i5, 2,53 I didnt have any trouble on that machine.
Is this a bug? Any help is really appreciated .
iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4), i7 3,5 Ghz, 16 Gb Ram

Try trashing Logics' preferences in the old user account. To find them you need to make the user Library visible first:
Open your home folder (/Users/"yourusername") in the Finder. Depending on your Finder settings, this may be as easy as simply opening a new Finder window. Otherwise, choose Home from the Finder’s Go menu (Go > Home); or press Shift-Command-H.
Still in the Finder, choose View > Show View Options (or press Cmd-J).
Near the bottom of the resulting View options palette is a setting called Show Library Folder. Enable this option. Your Library folder is immediately visible.
Close the View options palette.
Now, in the user Library folder, open the Preferences folder and chuck out all com.apple.logic… files.
