Q: How Do You Open iCloud and find files (documents, music, etc.) through iPad?

Hello,

I'm currently using an iPad mini since my Macbook Pro would not let me log in or power up because of its hard drive. I have documents and music on my laptop that I currently and want to keep. My dad told me that iCloud has all of my stuff automatically saved as copies. I need to know how access them through my iPad if all of my files are there. Please help me open iCloud step-by-step because it is my first time opening it. I already have an iCloud account. I just need to find my necessary documents and work on them

Your MacBook Pro does not automatically save a copy of everything to iCloud. If you saved a document to iCloud Drive on your Mac when using Pages, for example, then you can access it from the Pages app on an iPad. If you didn't intentionally set up and save to iCloud Drive, then your documents are likely not saved there. The following has information on iCloud Drive for iWork apps. Does this apply to Word doc? I thought iCloud automatically saves everything from my desktop to documents.

It's not a backup system, if you saved a fille to the iCloud drive then a copy of it is there, otherwise not.
