Q: Problems with iTunes music
I have iTunes 12.2 running on OS X Yosemite 10.10.4, and I have an iPhone 4s running iOS 8.4. I don't sync the phone with iTunes that often, but I went in today to upgrade to the latest iOS and delete some things to make some space on the phone and noticed a problem. iTunes no longer knows what music and podcasts I had set it up to sync with my phone, and it wasn't even set to sync those things anymore. Furthermore, if I click "Sync Music" and "Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres", it only shows a handful of the things that are actually in my iTunes music library. Actually, I just noticed something even more disturbing when I just went in there to look at how much music I actually have: iTunes seems to have forgotten all of my music that I've added to the library by importing CDs (purchased music is there). All the music files are still on my hard drive in the proper place. What the **** is going on? Has anyone seen this before?
