HELP! RESTORED IPOD MINI, BUT CAN'T PUT SONGS BACK ON!

I have been having some issues with my ipod mini, such as freezing, not playing certain songs, and skipping songs in playlists, so I restored it to factory settings. The problem is, once I did that, I tried to sync my itunes and my ipod, and it recognizes my ipod, but won't put the songs on. It gets through about a fifth of the list, then the whole thing freezes, and then it tells me that it can't recognize my ipod. Even when I manually put the songs on the ipod, once I safely disconnect it, the songs are not on the ipod. What is going on? I'm so angry! It's barely a year old!

First, just to make sure you meant to say the mini....are you referring to the ipod nano or did you truly mean the ipod mini? This is the ipod nano forum so if you meant the mini you may get better help in the correct forum.

Now since you said you have had your player for "barely" a year (does this mean it's more than a year old or is it almost a year? Is it out of warranty?). Have you tried going through the 5 R's even though you have restored the player to factory settings?

Since I am not clear if you actually have a mini or a nano it's hard to give any advice.

Not sure if that will help at all, but you may want to try a search for info on the ipod mini (assuming this is actually what you have).

Sorry, but right now I feel like I am shooting in the dark until you can clarify a few things.
