Jul 14, 2015 6:23 AM in response to Bogatyr99by judysings,Good morning Bogtyr99,
If you are unable to enter your administrator user account password when you start your computer, here are a couple of things to try:
Reset your password, and shut down your computer. Then start up in Safe Mode and see if you are able to enter your password. If successful, shut down the computer and start up as normal. Does the password work now?If that doesn't work, create a new user account with a different password and see if you are able to login normally.
The resources below will provide additional information.

Jul 14, 2015 2:13 PM in response to judysingsby Bogatyr99,Thank you for your response. Neither suggestion resolved the problem. I twice tried reset, shut down, safe mode. The password failed after creating a new user with admin status, shutting down, and then restarting and attempting to login as the new user.
What else can get my Mac Pro fully functional again?
