Q: Activity rings switched to 0 in the evening even though I exceeded all my goals and they'd been tracking all day.
I'm feeling more than a little frustrated that the Activity app on my phone still hasn't updated its totals from yesterday. The watch and app were tracking fine until maybe 5:30 last night. I even tried tracking an Outdoor Walk to see if I could force it to update, and nothing worked. Here's what yesterday looks like according to the Activity app. Make a special note of how all the data is clearly there, but the totals are nowhere to be found:
And here's what I did yesterday in terms of activity:
The data is there, and I clearly met my goals, but the Activity rings refuse to update. I tried restarting both the watch and my phone, as well as unpairing and re-pairing the watch and phone. Nothing has worked. My concern is I did not get any notifications yesterday about achieving my daily goals, and I believe this glitch may cause my current streaks to end. I'll be extremely disappointed if that happens, since a large reason I bought a $400 watch was to use the heavily advertised fitness features, some of which support my motivation. It's bad enough that the Activity app randomly decided my exercise shouldn't count back on the 3rd of July.
Has anyone else had this happen to them? Any suggestions on how to force the totals to display? Why is the Activity app so flaky?
