Macbook air and a Samsung SCX-4521F

Question

I have a macbook air and a Samsung SCX-4521F printer/scanner. I can't seem to get the two to work together. I have the operating system OSX Yosemite?

That printer is not compatible with AirPrint (see link following), so there is no general Apple product compatibility for it.

But there are some drivers, etc. available from Samsung's website, although they list compatibility with OS X 10.9 (Mavericks):
