Q: HELP. "No Service" on my iPhone 6 - iOS 8.4

I have this "No Service" issue on my iPhone 6 iOS 8.4 This happened 2 days ago, after my battery died (expectedly, merely a minute after it still has 1% left), I charged it until it's usable again. I noticed that it shows "No Service" on the upper left. I tried to put the "No Service SIM" on my other iPhone, which is iPhone 5, and nicely it has signal, definitely, I may conclude that it has no SIM issues, I tried to bring back it to my iPhone 6, sadly it still shows "No Service" I did so many things like Airplane mode on/off, manual selection of carrier, hard reset, Reset Network Settings, Firmware upgrade via iPhone 6 Restoration, upto the point when I erase all the settings and data, then restore it, still it shows "No Service". What can you recommend to me before I bring this up to Apple Service Center (that could be miles away from my house)

TLDR: My iPhone 6 iOS 8.4 has "No Service" after recharging it from an intentional dead battery (a minute after 1% mark.) I did many things like hard reset, restoration, and complete erase of data and settings. Still "No Service" HELP.

ADDITIONAL: I already did what Apple recommends me. -> If you can't connect to a cellular network or cellular data - Apple Support

iPhone 6, iOS 8.4, 3 months old.

Hi, so the same thing happened to my iPhone 6, the message of no service just appeared. However, my sister has an iPhone 5, and hers is older and has been through a couple of broken screens - so i figured it was just bad reception at our country house. Needless to say, it didn't improve when i accidentally dropped in in the toilet a couple of days after first seeing the 'no service' message. Long story short, I contacted my carrier who explained that I have ruined my phone for ever and ever and that the water damage is enormous! I felt really bad obviously, BUT, I am my fathers daughter, and if he taught me anything it's to always have a backup to restore to. I chose a backup from march, before the last update - and needless to say i totally fixed it. No more 'no service' i have plenty service, and my carrier is an idiot. Hope you all are having luck fixing your phones!

Happens to me this kind of issue on my Iphone 6 plus with last iOs installed and H3G as carrier.

Sure there is a software issue or a firmware issue.

Happens to me every time my iphone is out of signal for a long time when I forget it on my car into che car Box...I must restart the device...

Hope apple will fix the problem because!

I Installed iOS 8.4 a few days ago and since I've had no signal either. I actually have a signal box for my mobile. It tries to give me my full 5 bars but then drops to 0-1 bars after around 7 seconds. Restoring, etc, hasn't helped. Definitely believe it to be the the iOS. Never had an issue before.

How can I have no signal with a signal box    no calls for me anymore lol.!

I Finally managed to fix mine!! After multiple restores etc which didn't help. I went to, Settings, mobile, and changed 'voice and data' to 3G. Mine was set on 2g, which I get no signal at all. Never seen that option before but it fixed it for me

Apple does not support or provide a means to downgrade an iOS version.  When a new version is released, the files for the previous version are removed from the server.

Also, turning airplane mode on resets your 'voice and data' choice, so youll have to change it to 3G again.

I have exactly the same problem and did the same operation as you said but did not help.

FInally, I found a pattern and it seems that it is a software bug. The details are listed below.

    1. When the phone with battery level is less than 20%, it might sometimes not "charging" even connected to the Apple Native charger.

    2. Then, unplug and plug again the charger, charging works.

    3. If the above happened, it will become "no service" sometime later during charging.

    4. Reset network connection or just press the on/off button to shutdown/start the phone does not help. It is still "no service".

    5. Hard reboot (press home button and power button together) will make it becomes "searching".

    6. Afterwards, just plug the charger again the signal comes back.

    Hope that it helps.

By the way, what should I do to make Apple acknowledge this software bug?

it def is some kind of software bug. I only wish I had saw your post earlier. I went through an incredibly stressful day yesterday, rebooting my phone over and over, wiping it multiple times, reset my network settings over and over,  upgraded even tho I didn't want to, spoke to T-Mobile on the phone , and nothing worked. but then I also noticed it had something to do with when it charges. My service doesn't come back from plugging back in the charger in searching mode after a reboot tho. For it to come back I have to turn off the wifi and everything else then turn off the phone and leave it for like 2 min then when I turn it back on the service works perfect. I believe it wasn't working for me yesterday when I tried that multiple times because my battery was low so.I had it plugged in as I was trying all those solutions. I believe once your battery is over the 20% and not plugged In the shutdown and restart should fix everything.
