I enter my passcode yo get into my ipad 2 (32gb); choose an app ; it then goes into the app as you would expect but then once in just closes down and all I get is the apple logo. I can then start the process all over again but to no avail. Have shut it down, gone onto computer and checked the IOS is up to date (8.4) which it is so now am stuck... help please

If you are having an issue with your iPhone going to the Apple logo whenever you try to launch an app, I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article - If your iOS device restarts or displays the Apple logo unexpectedly - Apple Support
Since your version of iOS is up to date with version 8.4, check to make sure your apps are up to date. If this does not resolve the issue, as the article says - contact Apple Support.
