Q: Re: Family sharing and creating child ID...

It seems to me that, seeing that I'm not alone in my issue with trying to set up an Apple ID for my child for family sharing via my PCsince I do not own a Mac, that Apple is purposely doing this or it's something they haven't considered. The latter is, of course, hard for me to believe. I've been at this ALL weekend and I'm SO **** frustrated. It won't work from my ipad mini or my ipad air 2 or my iphone, and there seems to be no way to get this done on a regular PC.

NOT fair Apple. Something needs to be done about this! Anyone have any other suggestions?

It does work with Windoze machines.  Exactly what difficulty are you having?

As I stated above, there is no way to create a child ID on a computer that isn't Apple related. I tried using the iCloud on my PC, but there is no option for that on it. All there is is to "manage your Apple ID", but no way to create another ID for the Family Sharing.

I stand corrected.  You can not create Family Sharing using a Windoze machine.

I did a search for "Family Sharing" on the Apple site and I learned that you must have a Mac OR an iPad OR an iPod OR an iPhone.  Do you have one of them?

Yes, I mentioned I have my new ipad and a mini and my iphone. I tried it on all three and I would get to the same step on each one, and the next screen would say "cannot create ID, unable to connect to server". It's nuts. My internet is fine, the ipads and iphone are fine, yet NONE can "connect to server", really? So frustrating. I hope they can help me at the Apple store when I go. Maybe if they have a Mac I can use there to set it up. We'll see 'cause at this point I can't think of anything else.
