I can second the post of this guy - Quick reply - Keyboard Missing

Where did it go? Running iOS 8.4

This feature is used all the time by minions in nearby departments, I'm in IT, so they want me to find a fix...

Rebooting the phone will bring the keyboard back for a while, but it's not permanent.

Bug report has been filed already

Is there anything else to try?

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.3, At&t

This is very common when using 3rd party keyboards. The best fix is to delete any 3rd party keyboard apps.

IM having the same issue stock fresh restore 8.4. Stock keyboard no other keyboard ever.
