how can I find the serial number of my iPhone after it got stolen and I erased it via find my iPhone app

Still I can't see my serial number.I got the iPhone from telus and registered with my icloud.I erased remotely but I don't see the serial number.Some how I see my old iPhone5 bought from Apple serial number.
Much more important than the serial number is using Find My iPhone to take action to secure the iPhone.
You did set up Find My iPhone before the iPhone was stolen, didn't you?

As stated in the "If your iPhone ... is lost or stolen ..." article I attached above, in point number 4 under "If Find My IPhone is enabled ...":
"If you remove the device from your account after you erase it, Activation Lock will be turned off."

on article number 4 says If I delete from my account.what bout I didn't delete I just remotley erased the iPhone.Still I see the phone and it says erased today and time
So your iPhone is Activation Locked and can never be used by the thief ... as long as you do not remove it from your account.
