You did set up Find My iPhone before the iPhone was stolen, didn't you?
Further, the article I attached about serial numbers explains how to find your serial number in iTunes.

"If you remove the device from your account after you erase it, Activation Lock will be turned off."

on article number 4 says If I delete from my account.what bout I didn't delete I just remotley erased the iPhone.Still I see the phone and it says erased today and time
