Q: FCP X trial version can't use "send to compressor"

Hello,

I use FCP X trial version 10.2.1. I can't use " send to compressor" . It said " This version of Compressor requires Final Cut Pro 10.1.2 or later. " Then I need to update and have to go to app store. I already bought lastest compressor.

I can't use " send to compressor" because I use trial version of FCP X?

WWhat version of Compressor do you have? I think you need Compressor 4.2.

Sign in to the App Store and click the Updates tab. The update is free, See whether you have the update pending. If not, click on the Purchases tab take a look at the list of what you've purchased.

To Russ,

No update for both FCP X 10.2.1 trial version and compressor 4.2 though. At purchase tab, it only has compressor 4.2 not FCP X. I downloaded FCP X trial version from apple.com not from app store though. Maybe it is because it is a FCP X trial version. Am I right?

To Russ,

Either apple.com ( U.S.) or apple.com (Thailand). I just found out by asking apple people( authorised by apple) in Thailand that I might have a problem with OSX. They recommend me to format and reinstall OS X.

OK. Probably unnecessary to say, but make sure your system is completely backed up to another drive before you reinstall the OS.
