New Canon 5DsR creates 50MB files that are too large for Aperture 3.6 to cope with at reasonable speed. MRAW files are smaller (35MB) but are unsupported. Will this ever be corrected? Will I have to buy Lightroom?

If you look at the list of supported cameras (OS X Yosemite: Supported digital camera RAW formats - Apple Support), you will see that quite a few cameras have the footnote, that only the main, uncompressed raw format is is supported. This started about a year ago, so I doubt that this will change in the near future.
MRAW files from Canon 5DsR are unsupported.
