How should my folders and files be organized for iTunes 12.2 in Yosemite 10.10.4? With an upgrade, my iTunes library went missing. I found it, and have made some attempts, but I don't know how all the files and folders should look - and still, most of my music library is not available in iTunes. Please help me if you can.

This might help---go to my reply to cal94 yesterday concerning reverting to your original library and onscreen layout. Worked for a lot of us--give it a try.

You're welcome. I went through the threads for the 24 hours prior to his post but didn't see one with his name on it. I could have missed it or the mods could have removed it. I can't help because I only have Mac OS 10.7.5 w/ iTunes 11 in use. I did install iTunes 12 on a drive running Mac OS 10.8.x but find that 12 is worse than 11 for my usage.
Thank you Romad and Louie 21 for trying to help me. I finally made a Geek Squad appointment. They couldn't get the library to transfer either, so with my backup they reloaded my library in the new iTunes 12 -- which I also do not like.
