Q: MacBook 12"

After I install os x yosemite 10.10.4 my desktop doesn't show up. When i open my user the loading bar came up and it stopped in the middle and it never continue. I try reinstalling the software but it say the version is lower the the current version on my mac. How could I fix this problem? I think it was an installation error. Please Help me. Thanks.

Make sure your Mac can run Yosemite.

These Mac models are compatible with OS X Yosemite:

    • iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
    • MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
    • MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
    • MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
    • Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
    • Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
    • Xserve (Early 2009)

Which OS X was installed on your Mac prior to trying to upgrade to Yosemite?

If it was v10.7 Lion, v10.8 Mountain Lion, or v10.9 Mavericks, you can restore OS X using OS X Recovery.

Which version of OS X is installed by OS X Recovery?

    • If you use the Recovery System stored on your startup drive to reinstall OS X, it installs the most recent version of OS X previously installed on this computer.
    • If you use Internet Recovery to reinstall OS X, it installs the version of OS X that originally came with your computer. After installation is finished, use the Mac App Store to install related updates or later versions of OS X that you have previously purchased.
