iPad Mini 2: white screen and unresponsive

I have an iPad Mini 2 on iOS 8.4.

The screen is completely white and unresponsive.

If I leave it or press the sleep/awake button, it turns black (like when it goes to sleep) and I can wake it up like usual (home button or sleep/awake button) and it shows the white screen again.

If I hold the home + sleep/awake button for 10 seconds nothing happens.
If I connect it to iTunes it shows up. If I want to "restore" it, it says I can't and that I have to disable Find My iPad on the iPad itself.
On iCloud.com it tells me that my iPad is "offline" so I can't erase it until it comes online again, which it doesn't.

I removed the iPad from my iCloud-account, hoping I would be able to restore it through iTunes, but it still says I need to disable Find My Ipad on the iPad itself.

Tried the DFU trick, nothing happens, still white screen.

Seems like the OS is completely blocked/frozen and only responds to the home and sleep/awake button.

It is fully charged (as shown when connected to iTunes).

Please,

is there anything I can do?

Thanks in advance,

S.

Good day Sennosaurus,

If you are having an issue with your iPad showing a white screen constantly, I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article - Get help with the screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Start with the section titled If you see a solid color screen (black, white or blue).
