Jul 13, 2015 1:22 PM in response to MonkeWLby lkrupp,See this article fro 9to5 Mac...
http://9to5mac.com/2015/07/13/how-to-fix-itunes-match-apple-music-drm-bug/
Also this Apple support document...
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204963
From what I’ve read you must follow these instructions carefully.
By the way, ranting and trashing Apple isn’t exactly the best way to get help. Try curbing your frustrations next time.

Jul 13, 2015 1:39 PM in response to lkruppby cromestant,All my songs with the update are now either "purchased" or "itunes music"....
my previously matched songs are now either non existant ( will verify with my backup) or simply "itunes music"... where did they go? is there a way to force reidentification of everything?

Jul 13, 2015 2:03 PM in response to MonkeWLby blakhani,This did not work for me as well.
The article has a step that says "Choose Restore Library again to start the restore of your iTunes music library’s song details.".
I never have to choose this option a second time. I choose Restore Library Once and it opens iTunes immediately, seemingly doing nothing. There is no option to choose library again -and I assume this should take some time, but it does not.
All that being said - library is still completely mixed up and have no real hope of an easy solution here.

Jul 13, 2015 3:00 PM in response to MonkeWLby Pbellini,The latest iTunes did help me. After downloading, quit iTunes. Hold down "Command + Option" while opening iTunes again from your dock. Then go to restore library. It helped me. I had someone from AppleCare walk me through the process.
