Q: Not syncing library at all

Running I-tunes on my Windows 7 PC and now that I have updated to 12.2.1.16 my total library is not being found.  Worked just fine on my previous version.  My library has been located (for some time now) on a separate drive D:\iTunes Media.  I do have a very recent system backup that I can use as a last resort.  I verified the location of the folder under preferences/media folder location.  The cloud is turned off.

    Hello needlenoses,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I see where you are unable to locate your iTunes library after upgrading it on your Windows machine. The following article should provide you with some steps to locate that library.

The instructions would have been a little more useful if the .itl extension had been used.  Not everyone knows what library file is what.  Anyway, figured it out ok and I am up and running .  Interesting note;  I did a full backup on my Windows 8.1 Laptop, then did the I-Tunes update and of course there was no problem at all ( so far ).

Thanks for help.  It was a bit nerve-racking when it happened, but I do have all my music backed up in 4 separate locations.  Way too much work to lose!!!!
