I have a 2005 iMac still in great condition but I would like to restore to the factory settings. Can someone advise me how to do this? Thank you!

Thank you Niel...is there an option to do this without the original disk?
Click here and follow the instructions. When you reach step 5, insert its original disk, restart with the C or Option key held down, use the Disk Utility to erase the internal drive, and install a fresh OS.

No, you will need to call AppleCare and for a nominal charge they will send you a replacement set. You will need a credit card and the machine's serial number.
