RSS Error Message Updating "Mac OS Knowledge Base Documents" RSS in Mail

Why do I get an error message error updating RSS feed when I try to update "Mac OS Knowledge Base Documents" RSS in Mail 3.6 in Mac OS X 10.5?

User uploaded file

This used to work. I also no longer get any new updates for "Apple Hot News". What changed? How to I fix this?

iMac (Summer 2001), Mac OS X (10.5.8), Mail

Hi Ed,

Use the tiny Camera icon to add a pic here, your link shows nothing.

Last "Apple Hot News" was JUL 8th here.

Is your RSS Screensaver also stuck???

First, Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions, move these files to the Desktop if they exist. Will require resetting some options.

/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.screensaver.<12digitHex Number>.plist

/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.screensaver.slideshow.< 12digitHexNumber>.plist

/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktopscreensaver.rsspictures .plist

/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.preference.desktopscreeneffect .plist

/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist

/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist

Then reboot once more.

PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.
