my photo stream not updating

Have Mac Book Pro with OS X Yosemite. The new "photos" app is not updating "my photo stream".

I am not using Icloud but have set check mark in my photo stream. Only have 185 pics and none downloaded in last few days even though I have taken

more than 50 new photos.

Still have IPhoto app but no photo stream folder there

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

I see where you haven't been getting new photos in your Photo Stream. The following article should provide you with some steps that you can use to troubleshoot what might be going on and get it sorted out.
