Apparently there was just an iOS update (10 July). Now my iPad won't activate over WiFi or through iTunes. I've reset (home and wake held down until apple appears), reset my router, checked for latest version of iTunes. I still get, "...activation server is temporarily unavailable."

Same here. I have spent over an hour with Apple on the phone. I wonder if anyone knows what the problem is. Reloaded Itunes. Held down all buttons. Disconnected and reconnected, etc. etc. No luck.
Same problem here on iPD w. Apple Support an absolute joke and waste of time. Anyone ever get this resolved?
i kinda have a similar issue with the update to my ipad 3. Since i updated to ios 9.x on it (tried) its just in a continuous loop of looking like its trying to update. Ive tried to a reset and plug it into computer/itunes (just recognizes an ipad is plugged in) wont turn off so i can try a dfu restore... im outta ideas. Does ios 9 not work that well on my ipad 3 cuz i had no issue with my iphone 6 plus?
