Q: No option to add cards in Passbook for Apple Pay

Trying to set up my bank card for Apple Pay but there's no option in my Passbook app to add a bank card.

When I click on the + button the only options are to scan a code to add a pass or to find apps for passbook.

Have checked I'm running the latest OS and have Touch ID all set up and working.

Any advice?

iPhone 6, iOS 8.4

To add a bank card for Apple Pay follow the instructions here > About Apple Pay

Those instructions don't work for me.

When I click on the + button, there is no option to add credit or debit card. That top box doesn't appear in my passbook.

I too have the same problem of no Apple Pay section in Passbook.  Iphone 6 with ios 8.4

It looks like they had the same problem a few years ago in America when Apple Pay started.  In passbook they didn't get Apple Pay displaying.   We seem to have the same problem.  One fix they mention is making sure their Settings/General/Language & Region is set to America.

Now we have gone 'live' in the UK I have checked my settings are for the UK but no luck.

Anyone else got any suggestions for a fix

I was having the same problem and I fixed it by opening the Apple Watch app (doesnt matter if you havent got one!) and then re opening the passbook app.

And then like magic the add debit option appears.

    Jackpot

Well....that is if your card is supported, even though its on the supported list makes no difference!

I managed to fix it by changing the phone's region. It's a new iPhone 6 but for some region was set to United States. Changing to United Kingdom appears to have fixed it and how I get the option to add a card. Just in case anyone else has the same problem.

    This worked for me!

Select 'United Kingdom' as your region. Restart phone. Voila - Passbook and Apple Pay option appears!

You'll need to verify the added payment option with your own bank before it gets activated though. Can't wait to try it out

I'm in France where Apple Pay doesn't work yet, but wanted to set up Apple Pay with my US cards for an upcoming trip to the US. Changing the Region makes all the difference!

    Thanks!
