Q: Can students enroll into iTunes U without an Apple ID?

I'm trying to make my Computing department in my school as paper free as possible but coming against a couple of issues with the lady who manages the iPads. next academic year the students will not have use of their own individual apple IDs - there will be one Central ID. Is it still possible for students to enroll individually onto an iTunes U course? I'm new to the school so having to work with what I'm given to a certain extent.

Each student requires his or her own Apple ID to enroll in iTunes U courses.

The "one central ID" defeats the purpose of personalized devices (since they can't be personalized), so I encourage you to have your iPad manager contact your school's Apple account representative to work out a solution that meets her needs and the needs of your students.
