my iPad 2 touchscreen is acting up, not tapping where I want it to

my iPad 2 touchscreen is acting up, almost like it needs to be calibrated. If I want to touch a link it will tap somewhere entirely different on the screen, or when I type it will select three different lettees on the keyboard. I have already tried resetting it multiole times. Could this be because the iPad is not updated to the newest IOS software due to storage?

I see where you are not getting correct responses from your touch screen on your iPad. I would run the update to see if that makes a difference and you can also take a look at this article for other things to try:
