WWhen ever I turn it on instead of showing wgich users I can logon to it automatically logs me into guest and a safari page pops up saying guest login information

Would you please try to click on the Apple logo/ select log out and click on it. It will ask if you wish to delete files and log out of guest account. Once you will log out type your user name and password.
Try restarting in Safe Mode. This will clear some caches, it is possible one is corrupt. To restart in Safe Mode hold down the Option Key on Startup.
Also when posting it is VERY helpful if we know the version of OS X installed on the iMac. Without that information, helping is difficult.
Please let us know the version of OS X and if the Safe Mode restart fixed the issue.
