Q: upload videos to icloud photos

Hi all, I have just "bitten the bullet" and turned on I cloud photos on my IPhone, I used to sync photos and videos to my windows laptop, I have managed to upload all my old pictures but I am now lost as to how I can upload my older videos taken on the iPhone. They are all stored on my laptop but I just cant work out how to get them on to the icloud photos

When I turned it on on my phone it removed all my photos and videos that were already on it from syncing through iTunes, I managed to upload all the photos using the ICloud website BUT it wont let me upload the videos. I am not sure how to do this now. Bearing in mind I am using a windows pc.

any ideas please?

    If your using the Photo Stream, it will not do videos, that's why its call Photo Stream.

    Check the details on the iCloud Photo Library and see if that is what your looking for.

    thanks for the response but it doesn't actually help me.

     

    I have a number of videos that were taken on my Iphone, when I turned on Icloud Photo Library, all the photos and videos were removed from my phone. I have now uploaded all the photos to Icloud photos using the web browser but I can not work out how to get my videos uploaded to the cloud.

    I use a windows machine with the icloud app installed, I have photo stream turned on on all my devices and the pc but nothing shows up on the computer at all.
