Just got the iPhone Lightning Dock, plugged in to my USB lightning cable directly into my Mac Pro then to the Dock. When I have the phone (or iPad mini) connected. It vibrates and starts charging... then, about a minute later, it vibrates again and starts charging... Do I have a faulty Dock? Using the lighting cable directly works fine.

You included that your iPhone charges fine using the lightning cable. It seems to me that you have a Faulty Dock.
In my opinion, you should go to the apple store and return your iPhone Lightning Dock (since you just purchased it, there shouldnt be an issue with returning)

Thanks for the quick reply... I was just going to head out the door back to the Apple Store, when I decided to check a different lightning cable... both cables still do the same thing when attached to the Mac Pro... but the dock seems to act fine with plugged into the USB Charger. May be an issue with my Mac... (As soon as I'm done cloning a 500GB HD I'll restart and try again) Will keep you posted!
