Q: Incomplete photo export/sync

Why does iTunes only sync 1400 pictures to my iPhone from my mac Pictures folder when there are 5600 in my Photos library - in that folder? and plenty of space on the phone

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.2)

Ok, quiting iTunes and restarting it , and Ohotos appeared as an option, then it worked fine.
