Logitech Cordless RumblePad 2

I can't get to program the keys on the gamepad, my G4 shows that it's connected to the USB but when I open the settings in the game it's not recognised and can't change the controls key on the gamepad, please someone advice. I've called Logitech and Apple and still can't get it to work, I'm new to computer games and installing game pads. I'm I that stupid or what?

PowerBook G4, Mac OS X (10.4.8)

on Apple online store comments for RumblePad 2 somebody writes:

"Granted, there is no direct support for this game pad, but with a freeware program such as UsbOverdrive you can map out the gamepad's buttons to your keyboard, and it works like a charm. I use this for everything from Snes roms to Halo, and it does a great job all the way around.

Just be warned, for most games this pad is not plug and play, you will most likely have to do some configuring. Like I said, I use UsbOverdrive and have had no problem. I wonder if everyone who reviewed this poorly just gave up when it did not immediately work."
