Q: Payment Not authorised

i tried using ApplePay in two separate stores and the contact less terminal shown "Not Authorised" on both occasions.

 

I had to resort to using my debit card as normal.

 

Funds were available and there is no reason I can see why the payment would be declined.

 

I have set up the card on my Apple Watch correctly via the app on my phone and confirmed it with the confirmation code sent via SMS from NatWest.

 

I am using an iPhone 5s with my Apple Watch., both with latest software.

 

ANy ideas?
