How to stop minimizing Mission Control Desktops at the top?

New in Yosemite, I've noticed that when I go into MC, the Desktops at the top keep getting minimized to just their names, which mean nothing. When I scroll over them, they then expand out to what I expect to see.

How can I turn this minimization off so it loads with the screenshots of each Desktop like before? Anyone know?
This is far less efficient than before. Apps for each space can move around all the time and the Desktop names themselves don't mean anything. I'd love an option to toggle it off and on at least in System Preferences.

I cannot confirm this behavior. I am running Yosemite, 10.10.4, and my desktops display little images of the desktop as usual, and as you desire. Consider the possibility of a third party software conflict. Do you have an external display. Do you have "Displays have separate Spaces" checked in System Preferences, Mission Control?

There is no user setting here, possibly in an update if enough people ask for it.

If you are in Full screen mode the mission control will show the icons (little images) of Desktops and full screen apps.

If you are on a Desktop with no full screen apps you will see the minimized look.
