downloaded iTunes6464 and does not download podcast subscription programs to computer for choice of transfer to ipod

Q: My classic iPod does not download programs from iTunes
It's not supposed to. The iPod classic can't use iOS applications; while podcast episodes can be put on it, they need to be in an iTunes library first.
