Service battery after 300 cycles? Normal?

I have a early 2011 macbook pro and i have just starting getting a service battery icon after 295 cycles on my battery? i have just done an SMC reset? Anyone know if this is normal? Any advice would be greatly appreciated?

Hello LAFANGA,
I know that it can seem abnormal after less than 300 cycle counts on a battery and for your model it should hold for 1000 cycles. The main option is to take your MacBook Pro to an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider to have the battery replaced. If you have AppleCare, then the battery replacement will be covered replacement. If you do not have a warranty, then a fee will be required for replacement. Take a look at the article below for more information as it has everything you need to know about the batteries in all Mac Notebooks.
