Keyboard isn't working

I was recently using my macbook Pro Late 2011 Edition that is running the latest edition of Yosemite, and my keyboard and trackpad stopped working for some reason. I would like to take it in for repairs but I have no way to get to an apple store. I was wondering what the cost would be to replace the entire keyboard wiring, and trackpad. Can someone give me an estimate of how much it would cost me to send it into Apple.

One other thing, my AppleCare ran out about a year and a half ago so I cannot just send it in because I use it for work.

" I am simply looking on who to contact to get a proper cost of repair for my MacBook Pro."

So you're not talking to Apple here. We are a community of users.

Apple will repair your keyboard but it will be expensive because they will replace the entire upper case.

Will it work with an external USB keyboard and mouse?

If so it's possibly just the connectors that are detached.

Talk to a local service provider.

If you feel you're up to it new replacement keyboards go for around $40 on eBay.

It's unusual for both the keyboard and trackpad to stop working.
