iphone ghost touch after minor water damage

I recently left my iphone in a case upside down in a strong rainstorm for a short time. After taking off the case and drying it, as well as attempting to remove any water inside the phone, I attempted to use the phone. It operated fine, I was able to open apps and make calls, however, I noticed my phone making "ghost touches" in certain areas. My phone would attempt to pull down the pull down menu and make other touches on some parts of the screen. I currently have my phone in dried rice to try to get rid of any residual moisture left in the phone. Any advice? Is my iPhone going to be stuck like that for good? Thanks.

I was only on 5 percent when I got it out of the rain. It was not warm and the battery did not drain abnormally. I also turned the phone off then back on and nothing changed. It just continued to have these ghost touches in the same area. It may have water under the screen which is causing it to have these touches.
