Crown stuck with a rubber material

I bought my 42 Sport Edition on the launch day, I've been using it everyday without a problem until the last 3 days, the Digital Crown started to have some stiffness when you don't use it for a while...

Today, It was completely stuck and I have to apply some force to rotate it, I tried to click it but it's stuck on click mode and Siri keeps turning on to listen, while trying to figure out why, I noticed some black rubber material smashed between the crown and the body of the watch...it was surrounding the crown axis and make it hard to move it...I managed to move it out of the way with a piece of paper, it's like a tiny rubber band or something...

After that the crown went smoothly again! no problem at all, even if you let the watch for hours without using it!

Now I'm concerned about this small band, maybe it supposed to be in place to protect the interior components from dust / debris, I called Apple Customer Support and they requested some photos of my this rubber thing which I removed (I didn't take photos before removing it) so the Watch itself looked normal to them and they asked me to keep using it for a coupe of days to see if something happens....

Do you think I should give them a visit? it's working now, but I don't want to end with a bigger problem later!

Any info? Suggestions?
