Shadows along edge of screen

Has anyone experienced black scalloped shadows along the left (long) edge of their iPad screen? How did you get rid of them? My iPad is about 3 years old if that helps... I don't know exactly what model it is. I also just updated the iOS.

You're welcome. The basic trouble shooting would be the reset I described already. Then come settings> general> reset> reset all setting. Be sure you know your wifi password because you'll have to re-enter it. Then comes a Restore. Unfortunately without a computer I can't help you on this step.

The problem without knowing the cause we're just shooting in the dark as to a solution. Please post back if the trip to the Apple Store was succesful. Thank you.

OK - I went to the apple store and ended up buying a new iPad. They said the reason this occurs is because moisture got in (which is strange because I've never spilled anything on the iPad). They looked at my iPad and agreed that it was in great shape, other than the shadows. But needless to say, they told me that eventually the shadow would spread and my whole screen would go black. and they can't fix it... they just replace it. So I had to buy a new one 😟 So there goes $250....
